Paul Christie and TheoJob Title/Focus:
Campus Director and Pastor. I work in leading and mentoring students and have a passion for raising up a new generation of people who will love this world by storm for Christ. Christie is my unofficial and unpaid secretary.

Family: Christie and I were married May of 2004. She is from Medford, WI, and my parents live in Bloomington, MN.

Vision: We want our home to be a safe shelter for anyone to feel the love and acceptance that is through Christ. We want our relationship to be a snapshot of what God can do in and through two people who are more focused on him then on each other. We believe that God will inevitably draw us closer together as we follow him and have the things that are on his heart be on ours. We want to see the Great Commission (Matt 28:19-20) accomplished in our lifetime.

Favorite Topics: I love to talk about vision, leadership, and the Bible; but occasionally we end up talking about art, music, current events, computers (Christie checks out of that one), sports, and did I mention music?

College Degrees: I graduated in May ‘04 with a Bachelors in Computer Science from ISU. Christie graduated in December ’04 with a degree in Vocal Music Education from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire.

Pastimes: Christie and I both love music (rock, jazz, blues, playing it, listening to it), the outdoors (walking, canoeing, camping, fishing), and cooking (meat, potatoes, and eating). I enjoy a stiff cup of black coffee over a scintillating discussion; Christie would probably have either a hot chocolate or a steamer.

Vision: We want to see the Saints of the Rock grow in their relationships with Christ, as well as see the fulfillment of the Great Commission.  We also want to raise a God-fearing and Christ-centered family.

Hobbies: We LOVE the outdoors, specifically mountains!  We like to hike and camp, as well as mountain climb.  Holly enjoys cooking, and Luke enjoys eating the fruits of that labor!  Both of us are "Tea Snobs", though Luke occasionally enjoys a cup of well brewed coffee.

Family: I grew up in the big town of Spencer, IA and enjoyed going to the Clay County Fair with my older sister and parents to look at all the 4-H stuff, as well as show our dogs.  To the left is my cat, Aladdin.

Vision: I want to see college students wanting to be a part of our family within God’s family and grow with us in a relationship with God.

College Degree: I graduated in May 2011 with a Bachelors in Business Management at Iowa State University.

Hobbies: I like to dance, play sports, cook, listen to all sorts of music, play music, and analyze movies/plays.  I love the outdoors, especially when it’s away from all the hustle and bustle of the world.  I also very much love a sweet cup of coffee while reading the Bible or over a good discussion.  I used to consider myself a video game nerd, but haven’t played as much video games and thus have dropped the title.  I also have been working on a fictional novel since I started college, and simply hope to finish it sometime in my lifespan, but don’t care if it’s ever published.
